Angela Sedeno - CEO of Expanded Mental Health Services of Chicago Executive Director, LoSAH Center of Hope

Dr. Sedeño is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who earned her doctorate at Loyola University Chicago with a specialty in child and family psychology. She is a native Chicagoan who has worked in community mental health since 1999. Prior to joining The Kedzie Center as Executive Director, she served as Family Services Program Director at the Cook County Juvenile Detention Center. Her clinical specialties include adolescent psychology, conduct disorders, trauma informed care, acculturation, cultural identity and immigration-related stress and resilience. Other interests include social and restorative justice and the roots and impact of community violence on youth and families. A first generation Mexican-American, she is bilingual/bicultural.


Gisel Romero, LCSW - Program Director

Gisel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. She has experience working with adolescents in the school setting and adults in a community mental health setting. She has used her bilingual (Spanish) skills and bicultural identity to support those with a first-generation and immigrant experience. Gisel uses a person-centered, relational, and systemic approach in her work. She is passionate about social justice and strives to work from a liberatory lens. Gisel wants to continue exploring how community can provide people spaces to heal.


Veronica Perez - Operations and Finance Manager

Veronica was born in Argentina and raised in Logan Square. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Chicago State University. She has 20+ years of operations/management experience in non-profit organizations and charter schools. As part of her work in schools, she mentored youth to help them achieve their goals. In her spare time, she enjoys teaching dance and fitness and donating her time to community organizations that serve low-income families.


Albany Rodriguez - Bilingual Case Manager

Albany is a bilingual first-generation Mexican-American who was born and raised in West Humboldt Park. She graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with her Bachelor of Social Work. She has experience providing trauma-informed case management and working with students ranging from young adults to middle adulthood. She practices a holistic approach, and believes in supporting a client's social, emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical well-being.


Eva Ledoux, MA, LCPC— Bilingual (German)
Staff Therapist , Clinical Supervisor

Eva earned a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in addition to a Master’s Degree in Pedagogy with a concentration in psychoanalysis, person-centered psychotherapy and philosophy from the University of Vienna. Eva has experience in foster care, residential treatment and in the field of applied behavior analysis. She approaches her clients with a humanistic perspective, drawing from psychodynamic and existential theories.  


Jackie Ramirez - Bilingual (Spanish)
Administrative Assistant

Jackie is a lifelong Chicagoan of Mexican and Argentinian descent. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Sciences and served 9 years as a call center administrator. She practices empathy and patience to ensure client satisfaction and comfort. In her spare time, Jackie enjoys traveling, music and spending time with her rescue dogs. 


Michelle McMartin - Director of Clinical Training and Supervision

Michelle oversees the clinical training program and clinical supervision of the staff. She brings over 25 years of experience working with youth and families in the Chicago area in residential treatment, foster care, and community-based clinical services.  She has experience working with individuals and families across the lifespan, particularly during family transitions such as working with couples and families who are just forming their created family to helping families launch young adults. She has specialized training and experience with children 0-8 years of age, adoption, youth and families who have experienced abuse and trauma, and chronic mental health issues. Michelle's clinical approach integrates psychodynamic therapies with family systems work.


Adina Cohen, MSW - Bilingual Staff Therapist

Adina earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois Chicago in addition to a Master of Community Development and Planning from Clark University. She has experience in public and private grants management at a FQHC. During college, Adina studied in Santiago, Chile for one year and honed her Spanish fluency. She approaches clients holistically, seeking to engage and connect mind, body, and spirit within the therapeutic setting and beyond. In her spare time, Adina enjoys writing music and performing, spending time in nature, and travelling.
