Angela Sedeño, Ph.D. (she/her)
CEO, Expanded Mental Health Services of Chicago
Executive Director, LoSAH Center of Hope
Dr. Sedeño is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who earned her doctorate at Loyola University Chicago with a specialty in child and family psychology. She is a native Chicagoan who has worked in community mental health since 1999. Prior to joining The Kedzie Center as Executive Director, she served as Family Services Program Director at the Cook County Juvenile Detention Center. Her clinical specialties include adolescent psychology, conduct disorders, trauma informed care, acculturation, cultural identity and immigration-related stress and resilience. Other interests include social and restorative justice and the roots and impact of community violence on youth and families. A first generation Mexican-American, she is bilingual/bicultural.
Gisel Romero, LCSW (she/her)
Director of Community Engagement
Gisel is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned her Master of Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. She has experience working with adolescents in the school setting and adults in a community mental health setting. She has used her bilingual (Spanish) skills and bicultural identity to support those with a first-generation and immigrant experience. Gisel uses a person-centered, relational, and systemic approach in her work. She is passionate about social justice and strives to work from a liberatory lens. Gisel wants to continue exploring how community can provide people spaces to heal.
Albany Rodriguez, MSW (she/her)
Bilingual Case Manager & Staff Therapist
Albany is a bilingual first-generation Mexican-American who was born and raised in West Humboldt Park. She graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with her Bachelor of Social Work. She has experience providing trauma-informed case management and working with students ranging from young adults to middle adulthood. She practices a holistic approach, and believes in supporting a client's social, emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical well-being.
Eva Ledoux, MA, LCPC (she/her)
Clinical Training & Supervision Coordinator
Eva holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a master’s degree in Pedagogy, with a concentration in psychoanalysis, person-centered psychotherapy, and philosophy, from the University of Vienna. Grounded in psychodynamic and existential theories, her clinical approach emphasizes depth, understanding, and authentic engagement with clients.
Her professional background includes work in foster care, residential treatment, and individual psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and adults—experience that has given her a nuanced understanding of the human condition. As a bicultural therapist, Eva brings a broader cultural perspective that informs her approach to connecting with those in need of support.
In her role as Coordinator of Training and Supervision, Eva supports emerging therapists as they refine their clinical skills, develop greater insight, and build genuine relationships with the individuals they serve.
Elizabeth Scholom, Ph.D. (she/her)
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Elizabeth (Liz) is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who earned her doctorate at Adelphi University’s Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies in Garden City, NY, with a child, adolescent and family focus. Liz brings extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families in primary care, residential treatment programs, schools, therapeutic early childhood programs, and community mental health clinics in Chicago and New York City, where she worked to develop school-based mental health programs in the NYC public school system, as well as early childhood primary prevention programs at NYC Health and Hospitals. Liz’s areas of clinical focus include trauma informed infant/early childhood mental health, parenting, and adolescent identity development. She is particularly passionate about working with individuals and families of all walks of life who might not ordinarily seek out or have access to services. Her treatment approach is relationship based and combines a psychodynamic orientation with attachment-based, family systems, MBCT, and trauma informed frameworks.
Adina Cohen, MSW (any/all)
Bilingual Staff Therapist
Adina earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois Chicago in addition to a Master of Community Development and Planning from Clark University. She has experience in public and private grants management at a FQHC. During college, Adina studied in Santiago, Chile for one year and honed her Spanish fluency. She approaches clients holistically, seeking to engage and connect mind, body, and spirit within the therapeutic setting and beyond. In her spare time, Adina enjoys writing music and performing, spending time in nature, and traveling.
Austin McCann, MA, MFA, LSW (he/him)
Staff Therapist
Austin earned his Master of Arts in Social Work, Policy, and Practice from the University of Chicago’s Crown Family School, and his Master of Fine Arts from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has experience working with children and adults across the lifespan, families, and couples. He is a second-year fellow at the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis, a participant of the Chicago Circle of the Freudian School of Quebec, and is currently training in Child-Parent Psychotherapy. His practice is trauma-informed and affirming of lived experience. Austin is also an artist and educator who worked in arts and cultural administration before entering full-time clinical practice.
Diego Espino, LCSW (he/him)
Bilingual Staff Therapist
Diego is a first generation Mexican-American that grew up in the Northwest side of Chicago. He is a clinical social worker and earned his Master’s in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Urbana-champaign. Diego has experience working with youth, young adults, and couples. He practices from a person first, holistic, and strengths-based approach. He emphasizes the importance of finding that balance of self-compassion and healthy challenging in sessions. In his spare time he enjoys reading and writing, playing an adaptive sport known as goalball, and traveling.
Diego Garcia (he/him)
Bilingual Staff Therapist
Diego earned his master's in clinical social work from the University of Chicago. He works from a humanistic stance: valuing a collaborative approach to clients’ goals; warm and empathic but also objective. Before becoming a therapist, he worked as a glass installer and then a music teacher. As a bicultural therapist, Diego recognizes the uniqueness of the individual and the breadth of cultural experience each person has. In his free time, Diego writes poems and songs and plays soccer. When possible, Diego takes weekend trips away from the city.
Farrah Raquel Sklar, MA, NCC (they/them)
Bilingual Staff Therapist
Farrah earned a Master of Arts in Counseling with a child & adolescent specialization from The Family Institute at Northwestern University. Originally from Miami, FL, Farrah is a bicultural nonbinary therapist with a background as a theater artist and educator. They have experience supporting clients through identity exploration, relationship building, life transitions, and processing and healing from trauma. Farrah enjoys working with clients from childhood through adulthood and is particularly passionate about providing affirming mental health care for queer and transgender individuals and their families. Farrah uses a relational, psychodynamic, and systemic approach to therapy, also incorporating expressive arts and play. They are interested in exploring how therapy can be a tool for individual and community healing toward collective liberation.
Rian Jones, LCSW (any/all)
Staff Therapist, Youth Development Specialist
Rian is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned a master's degree from the University of Chicago Crown School of Social Work (formerly the School of Social Service Administration). Rian has worked with clients from early childhood through adulthood, with experience spanning from direct practice with vulnerable populations, to organizing and overseeing teams that deliver services, to creating curriculum and event materials used in client programs. Their focus is often marginalized and underserved communities, and those heavily impacted by trauma. Rian has a deep passion for supporting young children and their families and creating safe environments for children and youth to grow, thrive, and find belonging. Rian's clinical approach is person-centered and relational, integrating a psychodynamic, family-systems and play-based perspective.
Rose Perez, MSW (she/her)
Staff Therapist
Rose earned a master's degree in social work with a focus on Mental Health from the University of Illinois Chicago. Prior to practicing therapy, Rose served as a research project manager in clinical research for over a decade, specializing in projects that promote the health and well-being of Black and Latine communities in Chicago and beyond. Rose’s pivot to social work and therapy is driven by her passion for social justice and liberation, a love for people’s stories and a deep desire to help others find healing and self-actualization. She has experience working with adults experiencing transition from emerging adults to the elderly. Rose strives to provide trauma-informed, empathic and compassionate care in a safe and nonjudgemental space. Rose is a lifelong Chicagoan of Puerto Rican descent. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, spending time in nature and with friends and family.
Grace L. Doppler, M.Phil. (she/her)
Institutional Advancement Manager
Grace Doppler holds a Master’s in Global Health from the University of Bergen, Norway, and a Bachelor’s in Public Health Sciences and Psychology from Hamline University, Minnesota. Originally from North Dakota, she has experience in government, civil society, and healthcare, focusing on equity, empowerment, and access to care. Her work spans coordinating large-scale public health programs and conducting international research on community participation in sexual and reproductive health rights. Passionate about mental health equity, reproductive health, and culturally sensitive care, Grace also enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, live music, and art.

Sarai Marban (she/her)
Client Support and Operations Specialist
Sarai is pursuing a degree in Public Policy with a concentration in Environmental Policy within the Urban Planning and Policy program at the University of Illinois Chicago. A native of Chicago’s West Side, she was born and raised in the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood. Sarai is an active member of the Engineers for a Sustainable World chapter. In her spare time, she contributes to various green initiatives across the city. Most recently, she collaborated with Love Fridge Chicago to help develop a solar-powered community refrigerator in Humboldt Park.
Katie Moynihan (she/her)
Client Support and Development Specialist
Katie is a Chicago native who was born and raised in the South Loop. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Tufts University. There, she was recognized for excellence in research for her senior capstone paper, through which she evaluated crime reporting in Chicago. Katie is grateful for the opportunity to contribute her interest and experience in operations, grant writing, and event planning to support the LoSAH Center's invaluable work. Outside of office hours, Katie can be found singing, training for triathlons, and watching Parks and Recreation.
