Services
The LoSAH Center of Hope's team of clinical psychologists, social workers, counselors and psychiatric practitioners approach treatment as a collaborative and comprehensive effort, partnering with clients to identify treatment goals to create an effective and meaningful therapeutic plan. Below are the types of services we offer as a center.
At The LoSAH Center, we aim to create a safe space by providing confidential and empathic care. Within this frame, therapy is guided by the initial concern that prompted the individual or family to seek treatment. Areas of concern can include emotional distress, relationship issues, work or employment stress, grief and loss, major life transitions, adjustment issues, behavior problems, acculturative stress, and exposure to trauma, abuse, or violence.
Therapy can be brief in nature, allowing for an exploration and resolution of the presenting concern. Treatment can also be long-term, with a greater focus on seeking to understand the internal and interpersonal dynamics at play in one’s life. How therapy is structured and scheduled is part of the ongoing collaboration between therapist and client. Based on an initial assessment, recommendations are made for individual, family, and group therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Services are available in both English and Spanish.

Case Management/Community Resource Coordination
We recognize that the source of an individual’s distress may be related to or exacerbated by a difficulty accessing assistance in other areas of life, such as affordable child care, housing, or specialized mental health care. Community resource coordination services are available to support individuals in identifying and accessing necessary resources. As a community provider, The LoSAH Center aims to form strong and meaningful partnerships with other service providers in the area in order to enhance the coordination of comprehensive quality care for clients.
As part of our prevention and early intervention focus, we aim to act as a resource for existing organizations serving the community. To this end, we offer outreach and educational services to community members and partner agencies to enhance mental health awareness, knowledge, access, and response among members of the community. We provide these services in the form of educational workshops, community nights, parenting education, and support groups based on the needs of our clients.
Presentation topics may include: enhancing general mental health awareness and knowledge of mental illness; strengthening relational and coping skills; stress management and self-care; life transitions; enhancing awareness of the impact of trauma; diversity training; violence prevention; conflict resolution; and restorative justice practices. We recognize that the needs of communities vary across our service area, and we’re committed to as being responsive as we can be.
