Clinical Supervisor

Expanded Mental Health Services of Chicago NFP, the founding organization of The Kedzie Center, seeks a dynamic, community-minded experienced Licensed Clinician to join our team. This position supports our mission of increasing access to culturally informed quality mental health care to residents of Chicago’s northwest side. The LoSAH Center of Hope/LoSAH Centro de Esperanza will be the third community-funded clinic in Chicago that provides individual, family, and group therapy, psychiatric care, and case management for as long as needed regardless of the client’s ability to pay (www.losahcenter.org). This is an opportunity to join our opening team as we create a new community-funded mental health center.

The ideal candidate will have experience with clinical supervision and administrative work, an interest in and commitment to community mental health and working with adults, children, and their families. This experienced Licensed clinician will provide a variety of clinical services to include supervision, therapy, school-based psychoeducation, process groups and community interventions. Individuals with interest in an approach that emphasizes depth, insight, and relationships while also acknowledging the psychosocial impact of contextual factors are encouraged to apply. Desired Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in clinical field required (social work, counseling, marriage & family, psychology).

  • Licensure in Illinois as an LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PsyD, or Ph.D.

  • Skill in reflective supervision from an integrated psychodynamic and systems perspective strongly preferred.

  • Ability to provide clinical services in Spanish encouraged to apply but not required.

  • Interest in providing group and community interventions.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams.   

Responsibilities/Essential Duties: 

  • Work alongside Site Director in providing clinical coverage at the clinic up to two evenings a week; some remote/flexible hours possible.

  • Assist Site Director in overseeing general and clinical practices of the clinic.

  • Provide clinical supervision to interns, provisionally licensed or licensed therapists.

  • Carry a caseload of psychotherapy clients and co-facilitate groups, as needed (i.e., parent-child play groups, child or adolescent groups, parent education workshops).

  • Take central role in intake assessment and assignment of new clients, as needed.

  • Develop collaborative relationships with local organizations such as schools, social service agencies, health providers, to support client work and community wellness.

  • Collaborate and coordinate with other clinicians in meeting client needs and goals.

  • Participate in interdisciplinary staff meetings, clinical supervision, weekly clinical case conference and professional development training.

  • Participate in providing community mental health education and prevention.

  • Support program evaluation for quality assurance and grant compliance.

  • Maintain records and compliance with agency and state requirements.

  • Assist with clinical/administrative activities as needed to achieve organizational mission.

Bilingual Staff Therapists

Expanded Mental Health Services of Chicago NFP, the provider organization of The LoSAH Center of Hope seeks several dynamic, community-minded Bilingual Staff Therapists to join our team. This position supports our mission of increasing access to culturally informed quality mental health care to residents of Chicago’s northwest side. A non-profit organization, the Center will  be the third community funded clinic in Chicago that provides individual, family, and group therapy, psychiatric care, and case management for as long as needed regardless of the client’s ability to pay. Our model seeks to enhance access to community-based mental health care and education that is specific to each community.  

The ideal candidate will have an interest in and commitment to community mental health and working with adults, children and their families. This clinician will provide a variety of clinical services to include therapy, school-based psychoeducation and process groups, and community interventions. Individuals with interest in an approach that emphasizes depth, insight, and relationships while also acknowledging the psychosocial impact of contextual factors are encouraged to apply. This position has opportunities for professional growth as a community psychotherapist, clinical supervisor and/or administrator, as well as opportunities to develop innovative programming and  specialization.

  • Develop collaborative relationships with local partner organizations such as schools, social service agencies, health providers, and religious institutions to support client work and community wellness.  

  • Participate in interdisciplinary staff meetings, clinical supervision, weekly clinical case conference and professional development training.  

  • Participate in providing community mental health education and prevention.  

  • Support program evaluation for quality assurance and grant compliance.  

  • Maintain records and compliance with agency and state requirements.  

  • Assist with clinical and administrative activities as needed to achieve organizational mission.
